Mobile phones at the table.  How very very rude to be on your phone whilst you can be having a good old fashioned conversation.

Something people might be surprised to learn?

Goodness me there is lots. But one is a lie it’s up to you to guess????
. I spent 18 months as a Special Constable in Bedfordshire Police Force
. I can do a mind reading trick with any member of my immediate family
. I once shook Princess Diana’s hand on a walkabout in Banbury and she said ‘How do you do’
. I was 10 rows from the front of the stage at the original ‘Live Aid’ in 1985 and got sprayed by the water hoses as it was such a hot day and they started to spray the crowd to keep us cool
. I have previously been a non speaking extra in Eastenders several times
. I have been a medium and was able to communicate with dead people
. I once, when working at a hotel, lived on the edge of Woburn Safari park and woke to the sound of lions roaring

The Bio

I actually came into this role and working with children as a pure accident.

I originally started out working in hospitality working up to assistant manager in hotels/pubs and regional relief pub manager throughout the midlands. I swore then that this was the life I wanted to lead and would never have a Monday-Friday 9-5 office job.
When life circumstances changed I got the dreaded 9-5 job. It wasn’t the worst move I ever made, I’ve worked in hotel call centres becoming a data manager, then being made redundant from that role to being an office manager for an industrial cleaning company and learning bookkeeping.
Once again I was made redundant and became a bookkeeper for a local dry cleaning company.

Whilst doing my 9-5 jobs I became a mother to my beautiful two daughters and it was through their passions, that I became involved in working with children. I  became heavily involved in a performing arts school my youngest daughter attended and ended up being a company director for the school.

Covid happened and the school did not fully recover, it was then that I came to being involved with wraparound care.

Well that is something I am truly thankful for!  I truly love coming into work and ‘Playing’!!
Children all have the right to freely chosen, intrinsically motivated play so what better job can you have than going into work, join in with them, play yourself and have fun.

BEST JOB EVER and it’s taken me a long time to find!
