Girls in Sport with Worcester City Women Partnership

AJB Sports in Education are proud to announce a new community partnership with Worcester City FC Women, aimed at delivering high-quality sport programmes across schools, holiday camps, and community events throughout Worcester.

This partnership will see both organisations work closely together to create opportunities for children and young people to engage in sport, with a particular focus on promoting girls’ and women’s football and ensuring football is accessible to all.

“Are you providing equal sports opportunities for Girls?

Building on the Govenrments commitments made to the Lionesses, after their historic Euros 2022 victory, schools will now be expected to offer all sports equally to boy and girls.

Schools can do this in a variety of ways within their schools, including, but not limited to: PE lessons, after school clubs, workshops for girls, girls only lunch club sessions and festivals for girls sport.

It’s important to help remove any negative stigma or barriers and begin to build a positive relationship between being active and having fun for girls.

How can we help?

Are you aiming for your school games mark?

The school games mark, is a Government led award scheme. It celebrates a schools commitment to developing competitive sport within their school and community with one of the key objectives being to ‘providing equal sports opportunities for all young people, regardless of gender in your school’.

Partnering with us can help you work towards this achievement.
